ALASKA HIKING AND BACKPACKING – ANWR and BROOKS RANGE
Join us on a hiking or backpacking wilderness trip in Alaska! Hiking in the Brooks Range and Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) offers the adventure traveler the best of mountain vistas and viewing Alaska wildlife in it’s most natural state.
With a full range of arctic and subarctic ecosystems, this area hosts tundra-covered plains, serpentine rivers and streams and spruce-covered valleys containing the most diverse wildlife of any protected area in the northern US. 180 species of bird make the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge their nesting and breeding ground between April and July. 36 land-based mammals including migrating Porcupine caribou, groups of Dall sheep, moose, musk ox, grizzly bears and wolves range the reaches of the Refuge foraging for food and shelter.

If you are an avid hiker or backpacker, join Isuma Guideworks for an Alaska trek across one of the most spectacular wilderness areas left in the United States.
